Gusiman Suarez, 84, of Cicero, passed away on September 11, 2025. He was born on July 31, 1941, in Martí, Cuba. He was a loving husband of Enriqueta for 53 wonderful years. He was beloved father of Emy, Sibila and Enrique; cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Isabella, Natalia, Lucas and Marcus; treasured uncle of Julio. He also leaves behind many extended relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
He worked of the Town of Cicero as a Health Inspector for 11 years.
Gusiman enjoyed working, going to Cubs games, doing home improvements, and gardening. He loved listening to music and some of his favorites were Sonora Matancera, Celia Cruz, and Orlando Contreras. He will be best remembered for his community service and engagement with neighbors, and even more for his love of sweets.
Visitation for Gusiman will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park, IL 60130. Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10am in the chapel. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 7750 W. Cermak Rd., Forest Park, Il 60130.
