Jacqueline Eve Sawicka-Gorelic age 52, formerly from Oak Park, Illinois passed away peacefully in the company of her family on April 9, 2022. Beloved wife of Michael Israel Gorelic for 6 happy years. Loving mother of Norbert Szatynski and Waclaw Sawicki. Dear sister of Paul (Agnieszka Szatynska) Szatynski. Cherished aunt of Nina Szatynska. Adored daughter of Danuta Szatynska and the late Andrew Szatynski.
Jackie worked as a nurse at West Suburban Medical Center, first in PCU, and later as a Cancer Nurse Navigator at the River Forest Medical Center. She helped countless numbers of patients through their cancer journey, until unfortunately succumbing to her own cancer diagnosis. She leaves behind an indelible personality, her love for music, art, fashion, travel, and her family. She was truly an original and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held for Jacqueline on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois 60130.
