It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable soul. Jamorris “Jay” Michael Farley, a fire-spirited Orlando original, was born on December 15, 1994, and lived his life with a bold, unapologetic energy.
To know Jay was to have a friend you could always lean on. He was the kind of person who would be there at the drop of a dime, offering a listening ear and a response filled with genuine kindness. A true free spirit and a devoted member of the Barbz, he brought a "Pinkprint" of passion to everything he did. Whether he was rocking his signature locs or singing lead and holding down the bass to conquer Rock Band story modes with his family, Jay was always the star of the show.
His laugh was contagious, perfectly matching his mother’s quirky humor. He possessed the rare gift of being able to dominate a room with his charisma or sit in supportive silence for those he loved. He lived out loud, loved deeply, and left a legacy of being exactly who you are, without apology.
Jay is survived by a family who cherished him deeply:
• His Mother: Alice Farley
• His Father: Robert Thomas
• His Grandmother: Ethel Farley
• His Brother: Que Farley
• His Niece: Carma Farley
• His Siblings (Father’s Side): Robyn Thomas, Robert Thomas III, and Crystal Thomas
The loss we feel is immeasurable. We want the world to know how much he was loved and how deeply he will be missed. Though he is no longer with us in person, his spirit remains a part of us.
Jay — We love you, we miss you, and we will never forget you.
A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, located at 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, IL, 60130, on March 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
