Julia K. Marik

Julia K. Marik, age 102, formerly from Emery, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on November 17th, 2023. Beloved mother of Kenneth (the late Joyce) Marik, Richard (Susan) Marik. Loving grandmother of Lisa (Dan) Ruzicka, Julia Corkey and the late Kenneth Marik Jr., adored great grandmother (Gea) of 8 and cherished great great grandmother of 9. She will be missed dearly by all of her family and friends.

Julia entered the world on July 2, 1921. She was born in the Town of Emery, WI. Julia was the last living of the children of Frank and Anna Koci. Julia lived most of her life in Cicero, IL with her husband Anton and their two sons Kenneth and Richard Marik. Julia and her husband Anton were married in Phillips, on September 21, 1940. She was known for being a good neighbor and friend. She was an incredible cook who hosted many holidays at her house. She was loved by her family and all who knew her.

Friends and family will gather for a morning visitation for Julia that will take place on Monday, November 27th, 2023 from 10am - 1pm with a 1pm Celebration of Life service. Interment to following the service at 1:30pm. All services are taking place at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 West Cermak Road, Forest Park, Illinois, 60130.
