Michael Phillip Zdanski

Michael P. Zdanski, 81, of Berwyn, IL passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home following an extended illness. A funeral mass will be held 10:00am Friday, October 25, 2013 at Mater Christi Catholic Church. Visitation will be 2 – 8pm Thursday at Woodlawn Funeral Home Forest Park, IL with prayers at 5PM. Mike was born November 26, 1931 in Willow arove, Ohio to Nick & Mary (Wyzsenko) Zdanski.

He was united in marriage to JoAnne Kasper on October 20, 1964 in Berwyn, IL. She preceded him in death on June 4, 2008. Mike was veteran of the US Air Force having served from 1951-55.

Mike had been bartender and owner operator of taverns for over 50 years in Berwyn. He loved to go fishing, play Bingo, and gamble with poker being one of his strongest games. Mike was a member of Masonic Lodge #995 Westchester where he was a past master. He was also a former member of the Elks and Eagles lodge.

Survivors include 3 daughters Linda Johnson, Debra Zdanski, & Alison Hernandez; Grandchildren Mark Rini, Keith Hernandez, & Maria Morek; Great grandchildren Alicia, Angelina, & Julian; 1 brother Steve; 4 sisters Kay, Mary, Margaret, & Millie; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by 3 brothers Dutch, Charley, & John; 1 sister Anna.
