Myer “Mike” Small, longtime resident of River Forest, passed away March 4, 2014. Beloved husband of Jean, loving father of Richard (Terri), Scott (Jill Lazar), Diane (David) Sternberg and Ryan (Tracy) Small; proud grandfather of Elliot, Dana, Alexander, Joshua, Ethan, Ellie and Mia; preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Mike was the founder and president of Mercury Builders, which became one of the largest construction firms in the Midwest. Mike was responsible for many high rise housing projects, schools and hospitals throughout the Chicago area as well as the Miegs Field Terminal Building. He also built many private homes, strip malls and warehouses throughout Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. Private burial services will be held in Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL.
