Born on May 20, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, to William Doerr and Mary Doerr Warner,
Rich built a life centered on love, service, and adventure. For 53 years, he shared a wonderful partnership with his beloved wife and soulmate, Sandra (Goble) Doerr. Their enduring marriage became a testament to the power of true commitment and love.
Rich proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran serving at Fort Hood, Texas with the 1st Cavalry Division and twice in Germany. He loved live theater, opera and travel as well as spending time with friends and family.
Rich was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Stephanie, his parents William and Mary, and his older brother Walter.
