Robert R. Gardner, age 66, resident of Elgin, former longtime resident of Elk Grove Village, passed away peacefully, November 20, 2014. Beloved husband of Sandra, nee Lehman, Gardner; loving father of Tracy Lynne Gardner, Robin Stacey (Joseph) Walsh and Meghan (fiance Pat Zullo) Dahl; proud grandfather of Austin Dahl; dear brother of Donald (Susan) and Richard (Ruth) Gardner; fond uncle of many and a friend to many more. Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Carol Gardner. Robert served as a staff sergeant with the military police of the Illinois National Guard. Services will be held privately.
