Aileen H. Witte

Aileen H. (Bradtmueller) Witte, 91, passed away on Thursday March 27, 2014 at Lutheran Life Villages Pine Valley. She was born in Fort Wayne, to the late Adolph and Viola (Nuoffer) Bradtmueller. She was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School and Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. In 1947 she married Norman H. Witte, they lived in Decatur, IN, for 16 years before returning to Fort Wayne. She was an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church. She was a member of Northside Optimist Club and delivered Homebound Meals for 25 years. She is survived by her six children, Margaret (John) Mowery, Kenneth (Gail) Witte, Henry (Ruth) Witte, Edward (Doreen) Witte, Ruth (Douglas) Winicker and Michael (Mary Ellen) Witte; sister, Norma (Guenther) Herzog; brother-in-law, Roland (Dorothy) Witte; sisters-in-law, Velma (Otis) Witte and Mary (Weldon) Bradtmueller; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Norman H. Witte, in 2010; brother, Weldon Bradtmueller and one grandchild. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday April 3, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday April 2, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the Witte Bradtmueller Scholarship fund at Concordia Lutheran High School or Concordia Lutheran Church.
