Augusta Christian was born to the late Glen Christian and Leah Kate Stephens in Uniontown, Alabama. Augusta departed this life on October 27, 2015, where she resided with her sisters (Juanita McLean and Ida Mae) in Claremont, California.

She is the elder of the seven siblings. She accepted Christ while attending Pilgrim Baptist Church, under the ministry of Rev. John Dixie. She moved to sunny California in 2006 and attended the Adult Day Care Center in San Diego and Casa Colina Adult Daycare in Claremont, California. She learned many social skills and she loved to dance. All the staff at the Adult Center loved her and she loved them. Her favorite colors were red and black. She ran the race and she fought a good fight until illness beset her.

Augusta leaves to mourn four sisters; Kina King (Willie James) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Elaine Hambright of Corona, California; Juanita C. McLean of Claremont, California; Ida Mae Christian of Claremont, California; one brother, Glen Christian Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana. One sister, Clara Jones, preceded her in death. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery located at 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Burial will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Highland Park Cemetery.

The family re-pass will follow the burial.
