Betty Lou Erpelding

Betty Lou Erpelding, 91, of Zanesville, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at McAllen Medical Center, McAllen, Texas. Born on November 4, 1926 in Muncie, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Luella (Brown) Adams. A wonderful homemaker, she was employed with Farnsworth, Cleveland Graphite, and Stillman’s. She enjoyed watching sports such as football, the Olympics, and ice-skating. Mostly, she found joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, R. Dennis Erpelding of Fort Wayne, Linda (Randy) Williard of Yoder, Connie (Rick) Nichter of Zanesville, and Mark Erpelding of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, Andy Blaising, Debbie Craig, Mike Butler, Michelle Parker, Matt Erpelding, Jami Pippin, Ricky Nichter, Sara Parady, and Weston Moon; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Donna) Adams of Fort Wayne; and sister, Rose “Rosie” Lee of New Haven. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Erpelding; brother, Raymond “Buzz” Adams; sisters, Carol Arnoldy, Viola Moody, and Dory Gallagher; and daughter-in-law, Ann Erpelding. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am on Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Father Jake Runyon officiating. Calling will also be from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with a Rosary Service beginning at 3:30pm.
