Christine was born in Huntington on October 20, 1947. Christine graduated from Central High School and received a degree in teaching from Huntington University. Christine was married to Jon Wayne Smith for 55 years before his death in 2024. Christine worked for Do it Best and Wild Birds Unlimited.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jon, parents Lawrence (Jim) and Janas Zimmerman and brother James Zimmerman. She is survived by her children Christopher (Carissa) Smith and Wendy (Michael) Teders, grandchildren Shaun, Heather, Alexandria, Brittney and Richard, and six great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on June 19, 2026 at 4pm with calling one hour prior at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN, 46835.
