

DONALD E. JEHL, 83, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Ashton Park Rehabilitation Center. Born July 29, 1929, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Clement and Eleanore Jehl. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran; member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, V.F.W. American Legion and Knights of Columbus, in Angola. He retired in 1991 from Plumbers & Steamfitter's Local 166 after 60 years of service. Surviving are his daughters, Christine (Steve) Lybrock and Amy Jehl, both of Fort Wayne; sons, Jeffrey (Amy) Jehl of Angola and Douglas (Lori) Jehl of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy McGary and Patricia Flory, both of Fort Wayne and Virginia (Dan) Castro of Hilton Head. S.C.; and sisters-in-law, Sallie Jehl and Dixie Jehl, both of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne in 2012; sister, Margie Boneff; and brothers, James and Clement Jehl. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Father Fernando Polycarp officiating. Private burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to TV Masses.
