ELEANOR R. HARTMAN, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at her residence, with her family by her side. Born June 24, 1925, in Decatur, Ind., she was the daughter of the late John and Lena (Worthman) Hilgeman. She graduated from Old Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and spent her life caring for her son, Tad, who preceded her in death in 2001. Surviving are daughters, Karen (Christopher) Craft and Cheryl (Gregory) Lepper both of Fort Wayne and Sharon (Melvin) Simpson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert, in 1991; sisters, Margaret Beahrs, Lucille Hilgeman, Magdelena Peterson and Emma Snyder. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
