

Glen E. Reinking, 90, of Fort Wayne went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 16, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 24, 1932 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Edwin and Laura (Hartstein) Reinking. He attended school at Bethlehem Lutheran from 1st to 8th grade and later graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School, Fort Wayne. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday with six of his classmates. He was employed by Mueller Machine, Didier Printing, and retired from Doty Lithograph at the age of 65. He started a second career at Apollo Design and re-retired at the age of 80. He was a lifelong member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. He was skilled in working with his hands to fix things, sharing his faith in Jesus, and never knew a stranger. In his free time, he enjoyed playing euchre and beating his sons at ping-pong, gin, and any other competition. He also played dart ball, was an avid bowler, enjoyed watching his kids and grandchildren play and coach them in a variety of sports and other activities. His favorite past time of all though was attending family gatherings. Surviving family include his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 68 years, Phyllis; children, Mike (Deb), Tim (Carol), Cindy (Patrick) Horden, all of Fort Wayne, and Dennis (Sherrie) of Osceola; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and stepbrother, Gary (Joyce) Duesel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Betty Reinking. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran High School or Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.
