

Jack graduated from Lebanon High School in 1963, where he was the Drum Major and percussionist with the band. He was an avid model train collector, enjoyed history, and military planes. Jack was a HAM and CB radio operator starting as a young man, and enjoyed anything to do with electronics. He was the Sound Engineer for over 20 years for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and WBCL Radio Station. Jack was an Engineer and retired from Raytheon in 2014 after 46 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Becky D. (Timma-Stair) Flaningan; children, Julie (Shane Benson) Flaningan, Kim (Erich) Kelley, and Joel (Heather) Flaningan, all of Fort Wayne, IN; 11 grandchildren; and his sister, Jane (Rich) Hersha, of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Flaningan, in 2005.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hockemeyer Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road Fort Wayne), with visitation one hour prior. The family invites you to join them in honoring the life of Jack Flaningan via livestream service at Hockemeyer Miller Facebook page. Visitation will also be Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park Fort Wayne.
