JACK POE WISMAN, 86, of Fort Wayne, died on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Wood-view Health-care, Inc. Born on March 17, 1924, in Van Wert, Ohio, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was the owner of Wisman's Appliance for over 50 years. He was a member of Churubusco United Methodist Church and Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Aileen (Koorsen) Wisman; daughters, Jacqueline Sue (David) Hatch of Fort Wayne, Kathleen Ann Alexander of Fort Wayne and Caroline Violet Jones of Churubusco; sons, Bruce Poe (Deborah) Wisman of Angola and William Alan Wisman of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Virginia Wallace and Peggy Beerman, both of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Poe and Bernice Lillie (Willams) Wisman. Memorial service is 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Churubusco United Methodist Church in Churubusco, with Pastor Corinne Boruff officiating. Private burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
