

JACK L. ZELLERS, 61, of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born July 3, 1953, he was a son of the late Otis and Eileen (Emerick) Zellers. Jack was a dedicated employee of BF Goodrich for 41 years and was a member of the U.S.W. Local 715 in Woodburn, Ind. He was also a member at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Jack was a devoted father and grandfather who had a kind heart and was a good role model for his family. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, and listening to the Beatles. He also enjoyed watching the History Channel and SportsCenter. A real sports fanatic, he loved the San Francisco Giants, IU basketball, and the Oakland Raiders. For many years, Jack collected antiques such as Coca Cola memorabilia, wooden slide boxes, and other collectibles. He was also an avid coin collector for many years. Jack was often remembered as quite the jokester and a bit ornery at times. He was a friend to all and a stranger to none; he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheryl Zellers of New Haven; children, Brett Zellers, Ryan (Angela) Zellers and Alissa (Christopher) Till, all of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Evan, Cody, Carter, Rachel, and Emily; brother, Otis Zellers of Monroeville, Ind.; mother-in-law, Marian Wolf of Fort Wayne; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Lisa) Wolf of Fort Wayne and William (Deborah) Wolf of St. Petersburg, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a great number of friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, William F. Wolf; and daughter-in-law, Natalie Zellers. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne.
