Jesse Lee Brown, 73, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born January 10, 1948, a son of the late Alvin Sylvester Brown and Eva L. (Deahl) Brown.
Jesse was an Army Veteran, and worked at Wayne Home Equipment for many years. He was also the owner of Portside Galley & Pub in Hamilton, Indiana. Jesse was a member of the American Legion Post 178, and a Mizpah Shriner. He loved woodworking, spending time at the lake, playing poker and spending time with his family.
Jesse leaves a legacy of memories to his wife Martha; two sons, Preston (Amy) Brown, Bryan (Elizabeth) Brown; and daughter, Amy Yeager; six grandchildren, Conner, Parker, Ethan, Spencer, Elaina and Lauren; a brother, Arthur (Rhonda) Brown. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Bodey; and a brother, Alvin Brown.
A Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne), with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Additionally , a visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, also at the funeral home.
Burial with Military Honors will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens.
