Joanne was a wonderful neighbor and we were blessed to have known her and Dr. Juergens for many years.  She was very kind and had a beautiful smile that  radiated her warmth. We pray for the family and rejoice in the fact that they will have countless moments of loving memories.

Dear Juergens family, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful Mom.  There are so many early memories of her and your Dad up at Vineyard Lake with the Meeker family.  Your Mom always made everyone feel so comfortable.  Thinking of you during this difficult time.

My dear Erica, Lindy, Julie, Becky and Bo and your families .. The years that Allan and I knew your mother and father were many !  What a kind, loving and Godly presence they gave to all the lives they touched.   Choir School, Sounds of Hope, Choir at St. Joe, Fellowship Friends, and the times we gathered at the piano singing and such laughter !  God gave your dear mother and father to each of us that knew them ~ memories that will never be forgotten. What blessed assurance to know they are now together in Heaven!  God bless you and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

From when I first met Dr. Dick at Rotary in 1984, your parents represented the very best of meaningful community involvement: church, YWCA, Psi Iota Xi and multiple singing groups. After joining the family Practice Residency in 1990, it was a joy and pleasure to have your folks introduce me to you, their children  and their grandchildren, through almost daily up-dates. Jo was central to your family as evident through so many wonderful stories. She will be terribly missed by you and all who knew her.

Dear Erica, Lindy, Julie, Becky and Bo,

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom.  I have so many wonderful memories of our Northwood Park neighborhood and your home.   I remember your mom loved popcorn and often had a huge bowl of to sitting in the kitchen.   She made the best scotcheroos.   I still make them for my grandchildren and nieces/nephews and always give her credit. I remember her warm smile and kind demeanor.    I am thinking of all of you and thankful you shared your beloved mom with me.

Your parents were such good friends of ours from Epworth Forest Choir School. We cried together, laughed together and prayed together.  My parents were the founders of choir school and also Sounds of Hope, which your folks also were alumni members. The two of them added richly to both organizations. My deepest sympathies to the Juergens' family. We went to the same church back in the day & I worked for your Dad for 7 years at White Swan Plaza. He was also our family doctor & delivered my babies - the first being a set of twins (his first) who are now 52 years old.

Dear Lindy, Erica, Julie, Becky and Bo,
     I am so sorry to hear about your mother.  I have such fond memories of your parents.  I can see your mother working in  the flower bed while we were swimming in your pool and Clancy was running around the pool barking!   We had such fun growing up across the street from you in Northwood Park.  May your memories help you through this difficult time.  You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers.

Joanne was a dear friend.   Our parents attended Libbey High School together back in the 20's.  We  met through our parents' friendship.  When my father died, early November 1998, I sent along a note and dad's "Blade" obituary.  That ignited our friendship and my wife Jan met Joanne and we got to know Dick.  Wonderful couple and they were so rightfully proud of their family.  We exchanged letters and phone calls.  One August, probably in the early 2000's, Dick and Joanne drove from Fort Wayne, attended our Devilbiss High School alumni dance at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania.  While at the dance I brought a friend, Dave Jones, to see Dick.  Dave was a pharmaceutical salesman and  Dick was on his Fort Wayne "call list."  Joanne was special, great smile, terrific conversationalist.  So sad her passing yet we will remember her and her friendly manner.  God bless, Joanne!

I was honored and blessed to have shared a few moments over the years with the kind sweetness of your family and especially your Mom & Dad. They were always very important people in our lives and the most well liked couple over the years. We know that they imparted that special quality into each of you and you have done your best to pass on that quality into your offspring. Thinking of you all at this milestone moment in your lives when the memories of your time with your mother has to replace the anticipation of seeing her again.
