Karen M. DuMont, 74, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at her home. She was born on August 9, 1948 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Harold and Betty (Miller) Wiedman was a graduate of South Side High School. She worked as a telephone operator for GTE. She was a member of American Legion Post 241 and American Legion Post 296 where she was a past auxiliary president. In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandsons. Surviving family include her sons, Korry (Victoria) and Devin; grandchildren, Drake, Joshua, and Ethan; brother, Rick; sister, Bonnie; and other relatives and dear friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Duane R. “Butch” DuMont. Funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
