Leo Lee Collins, 71, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. Lee was born in a tiny cabin in Knott County, Kentucky, a son of the late Elliot and Georgia (Owsley) Collins, Sr., on April 14, 1952. He worked for the Newman Foundry until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and westerns, and going down to Daniels Restaurant every day for a meal or two. Surviving family include sons, Rusty (Chanthima) Collins and Andy (Rebekah) Collins; daughter, April Kline; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Elliot Collins, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his longtime girlfriend, Willy Short; son, Oscar Collins; granddaughter, Amber Mister; and siblings, Buddy Collins, Tom Collins, and Kitty Collins. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior.
