LeRoy D. Murphy, 84, of Fort Wayne, went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family. He was a 1952 Cromwell High School graduate. He married the love of his life, Lana Sharlene Murphy, in 1953. He served in the Army from 1953-1955, stationed in Toul, France. He was retired from International Harvester. LeRoy and Lana started their family in Noble County before relocating to Fort Wayne. LeRoy is survived by his wife, three children; Randy Murphy of Fort Wayne, Vicki (Marvin) Blackshire of Ligonier and Julie (Louis) Perry of Ohio. He was also blessed with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Opal Murphy and his brother, Estell Murphy. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Funeral service will be at Strong Tower Worship Center, 502 West Diamond Lake Road, Ligonier, IN, on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2 pm. Calling will be at the church from 10 am to 2 pm. Arrangements by Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home. Burial at Thorn Cemetery.
