LeRoy Rutz

LeRoy A. Rutz, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Harbour Assisted Living. Born November 5, 1933 in Waynedale, he was a son of the late Albert and Caroline (Springer) Rutz. LeRoy served in the U.S. Navy for six years and was also a member of the American Legion. He retired as a National Sales Manager with United Marketing in 1999. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, baseball, and spending time at the lake, but most of all, he treasured his time spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Suzan (Shawn) Neff, Sheri (Steve) Winfree, and Kim (Rutz) Trocchio, all of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Jessica Ford, Dustin (Claire) Winfree, Nathan Trocchio, Matthew Neff, Kailee Winfree, Zachary Trocchio, Ryan Neff, and Bree Winfree; one great-granddaughter, Kristina Ford; and niece, Sandra (Jim) Kiefer Sechler. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marlene (Bloom) Rutz; sister, Wuanita Kiefer; brother, Duane Rutz; and brother-in-law, E.M. Kiefer. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 15, 2016 at 1:00pm at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
