Letha L. Noehren, RN, BSN, MA, 81, of Fort Wayne, died, Sun. Oct. 28,2012 at her residence. She was born in Madison County, Iowa to the late Guy D. and Lulu D. (Handley) Nelson. She retired in 1992 as Director of Nursing at the Fort Wayne Development Center after 34 years of service. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary #4177, American Legion Post 82 Ladies Auxiliary and AM Vets # 55. She is survived by sons; Bruce (Liz) Noehren of Omaha, Neb., Robert Noehren of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughters; Kristine (Tim) Momper, Pamela Kokosa, Dottie (Matt) Stieber and Shari Caldwell all of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Noehren who died in 2005; grandchildren Dawn Noehren-Weakland and Dylan Stieber, great granddaughter, Rebekah Goldsberry and brother, Boyd Nelson. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wed. Oct. 31, 2012 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home 6131 St. Joe Road Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mark Neubacher officiating. Visitation will also be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tues., Oct. 30, 2012 at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a different date.
