

Marian Lancia, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 5, 2015. Born on June 28, 1922, in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Virgilio and Natalina DeSimone. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and before moving to Fort Wayne, she was a resident of Weirton, West Virginia. She was the matriarch of the family for whom she loved to cook. Avid in crochet and knitting, teaching both skills to many over the years. She was a caring and social lady, a friend to all she knew; a loving and generous woman who has now been united again with Dominic her loving husband of 73 years.
She is survived by her children, Floyd (Betty Lou) Lancia, Jim (Barbie) Lancia and Cynthia (Terry Dornseif) Lancia; grandchildren, Dianne Lancia, Matthew Lancia, Christine Habig, Jamie Lancia, Jody Rutkowski and Brice Densmore; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dominic A. Lancia, in 2015.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Thursday, December 10, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 3 to 7pm, Wednesday December 9, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with a rosary service at 6:30pm. Entombment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Catholic Church, Fort Wayne
