Marie Velliquette, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday February 9, 2014, at Heritage Park Nursing Home, Fort Wayne. Born on July 14, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late John & Hattie Potwardowski, and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (David) Lee; grandchildren, Tony (Theresa) Distelrath, Laura (J.J.) Pinter and Tonya (Troy) Worick; granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Distelrath; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth E. Velliquette; grandson, Matthew Distelrath; and sisters, Bernice Meyer & Dorothy Halicek. Funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday February 15, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11 to 1, prior to service. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given for masses.
