Marietta Jean Reinking

Marietta Jean Reinking, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Adams Heritage, Monroeville. Born on August 12, 1933 in DeKalb County, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Herman Henry Paul and Ruth (Kernes) Doctor. A graduate of New Haven High School, Marietta was the financial secretary at Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 26 years, from which she retired. A dedicated member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1952, Marietta enjoyed helping out with the food bank and creating the Christmas & Easter bulletins. She loved playing cards with her friends; especially Euchre, Pinochle and Poker. She is survived by her son-in-law, Johnnie Saylor; and nine nieces and nephews, Marlene (Jerry) Dekoninck, Richard (Ruth) Hartmann, Loren (Vicki) Hartmann, Robert (Janelle) Hartmann, Paula (Doyle) Acres, Paul Newman, MarDee (Andy) McCoy, Kenneth Newman, and LouAnn (Bill) McCoy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Reinking; daughters, Jeanne Kay Reinking and Vernalene Sue Saylor; sisters, Delores Hartmann and Lucille Newman; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Hartmann and Paul Newman; and nephew, Greg Newman. Funeral Service will be 11:00am on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Jeff Geisler and Pastor Dan Dahling officiating. Calling will also be 2-6pm on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne.
