Marilyn D. Ulshafer, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Towne House Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. She was born to the late Anthony and Stella (Hartman) Miller in Columbia City on July 5, 1932. She married Edward Ulshafer Jr. in Columbia City on August 2, 1958. Mrs. Ulshafer was a homemaker and greatly loved caring for her family. She also enjoyed traveling and Purdue. She is survived by her husband, Edward Ulshafer Jr.; children, Cheryl (Kevin) Rogers, Brenda (Mark) Steenport, Janet (Scott) Tinkel, Edward (Linda) Ulshafer, and Gregory (Michelle) Ulshafer; sisters, Marilee Teusch, Doris Peters, Dorothy Buckenmeyer, and Lavonne Chalk; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were siblings, Rosemary Kerch, Betty Parmeter, Charlotte Perlich, Pearl Days, and Bernard Miller. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 31, 2022 at 10 AM at Saint Vincent De Paul Parrish, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825, with calling one half hour before the Mass. Calling will also be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2 to 5 PM at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home 6131 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835.
