Martin L. Runge, 90, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. He was born on October 24, 1931 in Shawano, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Emma (Kallies) Runge. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 until 1955. He graduated from Indiana Tech and went on to work for ITT Aerospace for 38 years before retiring in 1995. During retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, traveling, golfing, tennis, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving family include his wife of 59 years, Rita (McNamara) Runge; daughter, Cheryl (Ryan) Wannemacher; grandchildren, Jordan, Lucas, Autumn, Daphne, Jazmin, and Corey; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his son, Gregory Runge; sister, Ethel Mech; and brother, Norman Runge. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
