

MARVIN LEE BELL, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014. Born Jan. 21, 1937 in St. Louis, Mo.., he was a son of the late Emil and Agnes Bell. He graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and spent over 34 years working for the General Electric Company in various managerial positions all across the country from which he retired in 1993. He also worked in the Nixon Administration as part of the President's Commission on Personnel Interchange. Besides his family, the most important aspect of his life was that he was a minister in the New Apostolic Church. He served as a Priest in eight different congregations as he moved with his work. He traveled extensively to Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania performing missionary work. His saying in helping with church work was to just make sure you do your part. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Fort Wayne; his five sons, Tim (Maggie) of St. Louis, Mo., John (Kirsa) of St. Louis, Mo., David (Andrea) of Indianapolis, Peter (Jennifer) of Fort Wayne, and Andrew (Aimee) of Fort Wayne; his sister, Agnes Jansen of Naples, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Sharon (Robert) Schoolman of Peoria, Ill.; his 14 grandchildren, Christopher, Anna, Michael, Nick, Sam, Lukas, Marcus, Lizzie, Jacqui, Abbi, Jackson, Jonathan, Agnes, and Oliver; as well as one niece; and five nephews. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Emil. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at New Apostolic Church, 3401 Terry Lane, with calling one hour prior.
