

MARYLOU C. KLOOZE, 85, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 Towne Home Retirement Center. She was born Feb. 27, 1927 in Crookston, Minn. She received her Teaching Certificate from Moorehead State University and her Bachelors Degree from Indiana University. She was a former member of the Fort Wayne/Allen County Women's Medical Society; Fort Wayne/Allen County Historical Society; Plymouth Congregational Church and also has been a Girl Scout Leader. "She was a devoted wife and mother who was very proud of her family. Holidays were always very important to her including preparing the holiday meals. She always emphasized the positive and had a good sense of humor. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress and loved quilting and needlework." She was always physically active in daily exercise, gardening, tennis, ice skating and snow sking as well lake activities especially swimming and sailing. She also loved playing the piano and organ as well as traveling and reading. She is survived by six children; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. klooze M.D., who died in 2007. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Towne House Retirement Center Chapel, 2209 St. Joe Center Rd., with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Douglas Vogel officiating.
