MAX E. VAN CAMP, 78, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Sept. 19, 1933, in Fort Wayne, he was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. He served in the Army and retired in 1995 as a Land Acquisition Agent for the City of Fort Wayne where he had over 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife Carol L.; daughter, Lisa (Mike) Burris of Fort Wayne; son, Barry (Kim) Van Camp of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Ryan, Kendra and Tyler Van Camp, Andrew and Benjamin Burris; sister, Phyliss Beck of Fort Wayne; three nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Janice Osmundsen and Gloria Asbell. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Pastor Debra Meuter officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012. Entombment in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the church.
