Michael graduated from Snider High School in 1967. He was a U.S Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He built wreckers while working at Koester’s Body Shop for several years. He was also a long haul truck driver and worked for various local wrecker service companies in Fort Wayne. Michael was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He helped with the audio and sound equipment at church and was known as “Mr. Fix it”. There was nothing he could not repair or build. He spent a lot of time helping at Klemm’s Candlelight Café, doing maintenance and repairs. Michael was always a man in charge, but at the same time very kind and compassionate.
