Nelda F. Houser McNary

NELDA "NEL" McNARY, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, after living with ovarian cancer for 14 years. She was an RN at Parkview Hospital on the Continuing Care floor for seven years. Surviving are her daughter, Cammie Outman of Fort Wayne; sons, Rob McNary of Fort Wayne and David McNary of Zionsville; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Liz, Dillon, Laura, David, Nellie, Robby, and Darragh; sisters, Vera Wenger of Fort Wayne and Donna Caulkings of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and brother, Mel Houser of Haysville, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Pastor Bob McNary, in 2002; and daughter, Bobbi Jo Peters, in 2002. "A special thanks to brothers and sisters in Christ at Beacon light Chapel. Also, thanks to Dr. James Edlund, Dr. David Sciortino, Dr. Gary Gize, and Dr. Greg Sutton. All those at Fort Wayne Medical Oncology, Lutheran Ovarian Cancer Support Group, with a special thanks to Susan." Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Beacon Light Chapel, 8901 McComb Road, Churubusco.
