NORMA JEAN GRABLE 85, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024. She was living at Story Point Senior Living North, Fort Wayne, IN. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Born on September 25, 1938, on Summit Street in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Velma (Stoddard) Lindeman. She graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1956. She worked at Kroger and then Dilgard Frozen Foods working in Purchasing for 42 years until she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. Norma enjoyed spending time with family; entertaining, cooking, and decorating for the holidays; visiting with friends at Big Long Lake on Summer weekends; bowling with her friends on Friday nights in the Brunswick League; cheering for IU Basketball with the Hoosier Shooters; vacationing; listening to music; and reading. She volunteered at the Firefighters Museum Fort Wayne, St. Vincent De Paul Society, and for Centerhurst Addition in Fort Wayne. She was loved by everyone and will be remembered for her faith in the Lord, kindness, sense of humor, and generosity. Norma is survived by her children, Kirk (Lori) Grable (Carmel, IN), Kim Recht (Avilla, IN), Vicki (Tracy Brittson) Grable (Fort Wayne, IN), and Andrea Grable (Leesburg, IN), her grandchildren Clint Grable and Anna Campbell, and her eight nieces and nephews. She is survived by siblings, Richard (Jeanne) Lindeman (Liverpool, NY), John Lindeman (Fort Wayne), and sister-in-law Linda Lindeman and Mary Lindeman. She was greeted in heaven by her parents and siblings Robert (Mildred) Lindeman, Bill Lindeman, Carl Lindeman, and Donna Fudge, and son-in-law Brad Recht and Kevin Campbell. The funeral mass will be celebrated for Norma on Monday May 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, 7215 St Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne).
