

Norman K. "Norm" Hughes, 92, a life-long residence of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. Norm was born on February 5, 1933 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Lester and Elsie L. (Goodpastor) Hughes. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1956, and was stationed in Naples, Italy. He worked for Colonial Bread and later Seyfert's in route sales before retiring. During his retirement, he worked for Kelly Chevy in dealer trades. He was a member at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne. Norm could be found cheering for the IU basketball and Indianapolis Colts football teams. In his free time, he enjoyed playing and coaching basketball and softball. Most important to him though was his family and being involved in their lives, he loved them all very much. Surviving family include his son, Larry (Deborah) Hughes; daughter, Janette Hughes; grandchildren, Taylor (Kyle) Autrey, Maria (Michael) Emmons, and Torey (Lishbeth) Hughes; five great grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Grenzenbach; and brother, James Hughes. Besides his parents, Norm was preceded in passing by his wife, Rosanna (DeVivo) Hughes; and brothers, Charles Hughes and Richard Hughes. A celebration of life gathering will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Inurnment will be in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. Memorials in Norm's name may be made to Grace Point Church of the Nazarene.
