OWEN L. BEERBOWER, 94, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011. Born May 1, 1916, in Harlan to the late Adolphus Peter and Eva Mae (Rodocker Beerbower. He retired in 1982 as a Supervisor from Kresge Warehouse in Fort Wayne. He was previously employed at Bowser Company. He was a World War II Army veteran, and had received three Bronze Stars. He is survived by his wife, Alice A; sons, Michael L. (Karen) Beerbower of Astor, Fla., Douglas O. (Cathy) Beerbower of Fort Wayne and Roger P. (Mary) Beerbower of Waxhaw, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Beerbower of Grabill, Ray Beerbower of Antwerp and Peter (Nellie) Beerbower of Woodburn; sister, Anna Mae Rediger of Auburn; brother-in-law, Willard Green of Antwerp. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Guy and Carlin Beerbower; sister, Opal Green. Service is noon Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at the funeral home. Private burial at Scipio Cemetery in Harlan. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
