Pete obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis and went on to proudly serve as a Fort Wayne Firefighter for 20 and a half years. He enjoyed the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, bicycling, being out in nature and spending time in the woods.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Ransbottom; and his siblings: James (Greda) Ransbottom, Laura (Phil) Forbing, Theresa Ransbottom, Rita (Tom) Siebert, Susan (Lenny Cowles) Ransbottom, Marjory Falconer, and Amy (Tom) Hipskind; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
