

Quirina "Tina" Arriaga Vasquez Zarazua, 90, of Auburn Ind., and formerly of Huntertown and Fort Wayne, passed away on November 16, 2025 at Bethlehem Woods. Born April 14, 1935 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, she was a daughter of the late Geraldo Arriaga Contreras and Luz Gonzalez Arriaga.
At the young age of 20, Tina came to the United States from Mexico. She married the love of her life, the late Gilberto Vasquez, and began a family together. A hard worker, Tina was a talented seamstress and self-taught tailor. She worked at L.S. Ayres and later Christopher James, from which she retired. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Sandpoint Road, Fort Wayne.
She is survived by her children, Juanita (Oscar Vera) McGary of Huntertown, Gilberto (Maria) Vasquez of Laredo, Texas, Carlos (Adrienne) Vasquez of Fort Wayne, Santiago (Julia) Vasquez of Fort Wayne, and Maria Alejandra (Joshua Malone) Vasquez of Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters, Minerva and Carmen Moreno, both of Laredo; brother, Francisco Arriaga of Laredo; grandchildren, Lorena (Michael) York, Martiniano Ceron, Pedro Aguilar, Beatriz (Ellison) Wright, Amanda (Felix) Cordova, Stephanie (Jose Antonio) Garcia, Gilberto de Jesus (Destiny M.) Vasquez, John Morales, Andrew (Brittany) Vasquez, Joshua Vasquez, Samuel (Samantha) Vasquez, James (Ana) Harbin III, Annalicia (Michael) Spillers, Santiago A. Vasquez, Luz Maria (Nathan) Stell, William (Andrea Chesterman) Fulton and Sarah (Ben Williams) Fulton; 38 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Max Zarazua; daughter, Teresita de Jesus Harbin; grandson, Shawn Michael Harbin; great grandchildren, Maria Elena Vasquez and Gabriella Lilianna Vasquez; brothers, Lamberto Arriaga Gonzalez, Santiago Arriaga Gonzalez, Mario Arriaga Gonzalez, Apolinar Arriaga Gonzalez, Gerado Arriaga Gonzalez; and sister, Paula Salivar.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
