Ralph Eugene Protsman

Ralph Eugene Protsman, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home. Born September 10, 1940, in Mendon, Ohio, he was a son of the late Charles Protsman and Clara (Anderson) Wise. After graduation from Van Del High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Ralph was a final inspector with General Electric for over 30 years, from which he retired. Ralph was fascinated by lighthouses and enjoyed collecting them. He is survived by his son, Michael Protsman of Van Wert, Ohio; two granddaughters; siblings, Mary (John) Davis of Fort Wayne, Bill (Judy) Protsman of Fort Wayne, John Protsman of Fort Wayne, Diane Doak of Sidney, Ohio, and Debbie (Michael) Russell of Piqua, Ohio; and 23 nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan (Hilker) Protsman; and brothers, Bob and Dan Protsman. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Burial at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
