Richard R. Cruze, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 21, 2015. Born on September 4, 1926, in Huron, South Dakota, he was the son of the late Chester and Helen Cruze. A member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, he was the retired sales manager at O’Neil Steel and proudly served his country in the US Navy, during WWII.
He is survived by his children, Jane Caroline (Michael) Brown, Rick (Marilynn) Cruze and Thomas (Karen) Cruze; 4 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley Cruze; son, Peter Cruze; and sister, Dorothy Cordes.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday January 26, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 6 pm, Sunday January 25, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne.
