Ruth D. Taylor, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 1, 2016. Born in Fort Wayne, Ruth worked as a sales associate at L.S. Ayres/Macy’s for 26 years, retiring in 1998. She enjoyed sewing for Project Linus, gardening, and feeding wildlife. She was known for her generous heart and her love of ice cream. She was the daughter of the late, Theo. C. C. and Eleanor Harges, and is survived by her daughters, Marti (James) Dee and Rebecca (Thomas) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark L. Taylor.
Funeral service will be 12pm Thursday, January 7, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, January 6, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials can be made to the family.
