

Wanda M. Ramsey, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Born on January 15, 1934 in Naples, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Glynn and Frances (Pyle) Davis. She first worked as a surgical nurse for a California Urologist. She was married 32 years to the late Paul G. Ramsey and was founder/owner of Ramsey Real Estate and a Broker for Century 21 for over 26 years; from which she retired. She worked as a CNA in her late years, who took care of many people. Wanda loved Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and possessed a deep-seated faith. A true Texan-Spitfire, who loved all of her family and was incredibly generous. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, art, bingo, dancing, canoeing and time with family, friends and her Beloved dog, Bear. She is survived by her loving companion of over 30 years, William “Bill” Simon of Fort Wayne; children, Timothy (Cheryl) Ramsey of Decatur, Daniel (Jackie) Ramsey of Warsaw, Jennifer (Jim) O’Day and Paula Phillips, both of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Breanna (Joshua) Kline, Matthew Phillips, Samantha Phillips, Ryan Ramsey and eight beautiful great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1:00pm at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
