WILLIAM E. "BILL" ROACH, 61, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at IU Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 8, 1952, in Fort Wayne. After graduating from Largo High School, Bill served in the United States Army for four years. He attended Ivy Tech College and earned two Associate Degrees; one in Business and the other in Marketing. Bill worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 36 years; retiring in 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen of Fort Wayne; sons, Jonovon (Emily) Roach and Brian (Stephany) Roach, both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; brother, Joe (Amy) Roach of Churubusco, Ind; sisters, Barbara Genshiemer, Sandra Harman and Janet (Richard) Ranney, all of Churubusco, Ind; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lucille (Durnell) Roach. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
