Born in Jacksonville, Alabama, she was the daughter of Charlie and Birdie Bivins. She worked at The Sheraton Hotel in laundry management, and retired after 20+ years of dedicated service. Carol enjoyed playing bingo, and will be remembered for her spunky personality, and her love of hamburgers and milkshakes.
Carol is survived by her children, Thomas A. Busch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Theresa A. Cruz of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Katelyn E. Cruz and Owen Z. Cruz, both of Dallas, Texas; as well as her sister Sara Morgan Lewis of Oklahoma. She was preceded in passing by her mother and father, three brothers, a sister, and her son-in-law Joe Cruz.
A committal service will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery, located at 3825 Airport Rd, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The service is scheduled for August 6, 2025, at 10:00 am.
