Bettye Lee Mouser

Bettye Lee Mouser passed from her earthly home to her eternal home on January 27, 2021 after a lengthy life of 94 years. She was born near St. Vrain, NM on July 18, 1926, the last of six children born to Mattie Elizabeth (Duncan) and Robert E. Lee Williams.

Bettye, Mother, Aunt Bettye, Grandma and Great Grandma will be greatly missed. She married Ralph Mouser in 1943. They were blessed with three children: Rolland, Wayland and Karen (Uhl). Their family continues to be blessed with nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In 1985, Bettye received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University. Bettye was primarily a wonderful mother and homemaker. She worked on and off as a bookkeeper and retired from Civil Service at Cannon Air Force Base (Clovis, NM) in 1989. She was preceded in death by Wayland in 2001 and Ralph in 2002. Bettye’s love for the Lord, studying the Bible, and sharing her faith with many were her life goals. A Memorial service will be held February 8, 2021 at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary in Fountain, CO. Interment will be held at Texico, NM Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the New Mexico Christian Children’s Home in Portales, NM.
