

Linda Lu Jones, born February 5, 1938, in Steprock, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was a woman of kindness, resilience, and deep devotion, whose life touched many and whose memory will continue to shine brightly. Linda was known for her warm sense of humor and her playful spirit—well known by her family for her pranks and antics that brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable stories to every gathering. Her steadfast love of God guided her life and shaped her generous, gentle heart.
Linda is survived by her sister LaNell Williams and her husband Dick; her beloved nephew Tommy Dillinger and his wife Debbie; and many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her children Kenn Jones and his wife Frieda, Gwen Blanchard, and Lynn Wheat and her husband Walt Wheat.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tim Blanchard, Marcia Eberhart and her husband Michael Eberhart, with their children Grady and Garrett, Cassie Torres and her husband David Torres, with their children Kaylee, Blake, and Colton, Michelle Jarvis and her husband Joey Jarvis, with their children Erika, Annie, Mista, Ava and Caitlyn, Meghann Dillinger, Stephen Blanchard and his wife Gabby Blanchard, Andrew Wheat and Brittney Rogers, Matthew Wheat and Ioni Finch
Linda has been reunited in heaven with her parents, her husband Glenn, brother Howard Froud and sisters Carlotta Klein and Clara Miller.
Linda’s joyful humor, her mischievous pranks, her unwavering faith, and her warm, steady presence will be cherished forever by those who were blessed to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Colorado Christian Services in Linda’s memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain View Church of Christ, located at 1080 E La Salle St, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80901, on November 28, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
