Marshall Lewis Rebitski was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on July 17th, 1936 to Lewis and Bertha Rebitski. They moved to Oconto Falls, Wisconsin in 1940 were he graduated high school and joined the United States Air Force. Marshall spent 22 years in the Air Force providing services to his country as a flight crew member, flying missions along the Atlantic coast. While in the Air force he
was a Russian linguist providing services to the C.I.A. and as a communications specialist working with radar stations and communications systems all over the world. During his career he spent time in Chile, Tripoli, Denver, Bangkok, Cape Cod, Sacramento, Hessish Oldendorf, Germany and his final station at Cheyenne Mountain here in Colorado Springs. Marshall
retired from the Air Force on July 31st, 1979 where he continued working at the Colorado Springs Sun Newspaper and several electronics companies in computer services. Marshall loved reading and electronics
and wrote two science fiction novels.
On October 15th, 1960 he married Karen Dufek. Marshall and Karen had two sons James (Julie) and Jeffery. Marshall was blessed with seven grandchildren; John (Danielle), David, Chris, Amy, Matt (Kayla), Kaylee (Sam) and Nicole. Marshall has two great grandchildren; Amanda and Alexis. Marshall is also survived by his sister Sharon of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Uncle Roy and Aunt Carol Rebitski of Green Bay, three sister-in-laws Barb, Wendy and Teri, a brother-in-law David Dufek and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 7th, 2013 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 South Highway 85/87, Fountain, Colorado 80817.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, Colorado Springs.
