

was born on April 2, 1931 in Riverton, WY and went to heaven on March 6, 2013.
He was the last of his 5 sisters and 1 brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years:
Ingeburg C. Martinez.
Children: Uta I. Brooks, Pattie I. Galarza,
Jimmy P. Martinez MAJ (USAR) and wife Patricia,
Carmen J. Lusk and husband Daryl CSM (Ret) and
LTC Terry M. Martinez and wife Suzan. Grandchildren: Robert, Tanya, T.J., Amber, J.R., Lisa, Daryl Jr and Alexander. Great-grandchildren: Hunter, Zachary, Tyler, Keagan, Hailey, Sarita and Jade.
Pat B. Martinez joined the Army in 1948 and served honorably for over 27 years with 2 tours in Vietnam. Upon retirement from the U.S. Army he pursed a career with Zebulon Pike Detention Center and retired in 1987.
He graduated from St. Mary's High School (Colorado Springs), received an Associate Degree from El Paso Community College (Colorado Springs), a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern Colorado and obtained 1 year towards a Master Degree.
He was recognized with the American Red Cross for 12 years of honorable volunteer services at Evans Army Community Hospital. Was a life time member of Local VFW 3917, and actively involved with the local Cootie's. His hobbies were playing guitar, singing, leather work, ceramics, traveling, walking/volksmarches and spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital, Penrose Hospital, and Pikes Peak Hospice for their skilled and compassionate care.
The viewing will be Friday March 15, from 5:00-7:00 at Dove Witt Mortuary.
Service will be on Saturday March 16, 10:00 am at Soldiers Memorial Chapel at Fort Carson.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
